Our non-stop flight arrived just before noon on Friday. Once exiting customs, we purchased a train ticket to London/Paddington station and then another train to Bath. The ride through the countryside was a glimpse into what we would discover at our first destination, the High Beeches Guest House located on the hill above the city. Our host has been delightful as are the other guests we shared breakfast with. This morning we picked up our rental car, drove it back to the house without incident! Our new Garmin loaded with UK maps was a little conflicted so we followed the verbal instructions by our host, Ian, and successfully manuevered our way back. (We did give "it" a reboot and she seems to acknowledge her trip across 'The Pond'.)
